Why did you start blogging?
I was in the middle of a big life change and needed some sort of creative outlet. What began as a service to modern gals (and guys) interested in all the classic topics: shopping, tv, sports, etc., grew into a site with a bit of a personal side too.

What is your goal as a blogger?
To provide women with an honest opinion about fashion and style.

Why did you start blogging?
I started a livejournal in 2001 because I wanted a place to write. This past January I switched to blogger and haven’t looked back. Blogging helps me sort out my life in a way–it’s definitely cheaper than therapy! Plus, it helps me develop as a writer.

What advice would you offer to other bloggers?
Be open. Open to support, encouragement, the bad and the good. Don’t let blogging become a chore. If you feel like you “have” to blog, then it’s not going to be enjoyable. Have fun! Be smart about it. Don’t give out too much information about yourself if you’re trying to remain anonymous. I think figuring out if you want to be known or unknown is the hardest step.

What is your goal as a blogger?
Blogging has always been a form of expression. A way of taking all the disorganized thoughts in my head and making them coherent. It’s also been a great way to meet new people. Those are my two main motivators.

What advice would you offer to other bloggers?
If it’s a personal blog, be yourself. All my posts where I was totally myself and open were the ones that got the most comments and traffic. People know when you are writing about something you care about or represents you.

Why did you start blogging?
I began blogging as a way to keep in touch with friends and family when I graduated from college and moved into the “real world” and it evolved into so much more. I have made amazing friends and discovered so much about myself, just by writing some words on a computer screen every few days.
