Why did you start blogging?
I love writing, but my job doesn’t allow me to write. And it certainly doesn’t allow me to write creatively. About subjects that matter to me. So, I started SoMi right around the time my then-boyfriend (now fiance) started getting serious and we got a dog. It’s been a map to my life and my brain. I love it. And what I love more? All the people I’ve met virtually and in real life as a result of blogging. It’s a big amazing world out there and blogging makes it just a little bit smaller.

What is your goal as a blogger?
Personal fulfillment through writing and reading other blogs, which leads to a network of online friends. What a strong community!

What advice would you offer to other bloggers?
Stay true to yourself. A blog is your little corner of the world and it should be about the things that matter to you. Not what others want or think. As your blog grows, you will be tested. But, stay true.

What are your top three must read blogs everyday?
Oh my, it’s such a long list. Growing and changing every day. Check out my blogroll on my blog for the most updated list. I stay true to this list and change it as my preferences and favorites change.
