What is a tumblelog?
a) a minimalist blog, with no comments and super easy posting
b) a virtual scrap book, which allows you to collect your favorite things from around the internet from quotes to videos with the click of a button
c) a place to store scraps of information that inspire you, and which you would like to turn into a full blogpost else where at a later time

How did Tumblr get started?
While today the word “tumblog” is synonymous with tumblr, the word actually predates the service. Tumblr was created to cater to the super-speedy minimalist posting style that tumbloggers had developed. Traditional blogging platforms could not compete with this streamlined blogging style, and tumblr has attracted legions of fans to this quick and minimalist blogging style. Tumblr was founded by David Karp at the ripe old age of nineteen year old, the blog has since attracted serious venture capital is currently valued at 3 million dollars.

How do you use Tumblr?
I use tumblr to keep track of my favorite images and artwork from all over the internet. I definitely think of it as a virtual scrapbook. I fantasize that one day, probably not in the near future, when I buy my first house I will refer to my inspiring images tumblog to decide how to decorate it.
What is your favorite feature of Tumblr?
I love the bookmarklet on my tool bar that allows me to clip any picture, quote, movie or sound from any website and post iton my tumblog.
What do you wish Tumblr could do?
I wish there was a widget that allowed me to easily display my latest tumblr post in the sidebar of my blog. Twitter has one, so why can’t tumblr?
