Just say no to RSS excerpts

Some blog optimization experts will tell you only to put ecerpts in your RSS feed. I disagree. I rarely click through on excerpted posts, in fact I’ve unsubscribed to blogs that use excerpts. I am most likely to click through to vote on a poll, watch a video clip of to post a picture to my “virtual scrapbook” on tumblr.

    I’m totally with you. Just in the last week I’ve probably unsubscribed to 3-4 blogs who only use partial, or excerpt feeds… Because you want your readers to visit your site, right? Well, I’d just rather have them read my content than give me ridiculous traffic.

    That’s silly.
