Adsense in Feedburner

By Sophia Charming • Jul 2nd, 2008 • Category: Lead Story

Feedburner has recently added the option to add Google Adsense Advertisements to your website. I am currently experimenting with the feature. I originally thought this feature would add Adsense to my feed, this is NOT the case. Hopefully they will add that feature soon!

So, since originally I thought that the new advertisements would only show up in feeds, I activated it on all my blogs. I visited Chic and Charming after activating the service and discovered advertisements were added to the end of each post. As a result had about 11 Google text advertisements on each page. Personally, I thought it was overkill so I turned off the service immediately.

I’ve turned Adsense through Feedburner on in Girls Guide to Blogging to experiment with the service. This is my first post with the feature enabled, so we will have to see how it turns out! I plan on leaving Adsense turned on for Girls Guide to Blogging for at least a week (if not indefinitely), so that you guys can see how the advertisements are integrated into a website. I feel like the advertisement is a little buried. Perhaps I will delete author box…its seems like overkill.

Do you have any experience with advertising with Feedburner?
